Terms of Service

Global Standard v1.0Last Updated: March 02, 2026

1. Acceptance of Agreement

By creating a school workspace or using the GradeHub platform (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between GradeHub and the Institution (the “School”) you represent.

2. Description of Service

GradeHub provides a multi-tenant cloud-based school management system. This includes but is not limited to academic grading, financial ledgers, student records, and automated SMS communication. We reserve the right to update or modify features to enhance system performance and security.

3. Account & Security

Schools are responsible for the security of their administrator, teacher, and student credentials. Any activity occurring under a school’s unique slug (e.g., ghub.io/school-name) is the sole responsibility of that institution. GradeHub implements strict logical data isolation to ensure no school can access another’s data.

4. Billing & Subscriptions

Current Pricing Model

  • Starter Plan: Free for institutions with up to 50 students.
  • Growth Plan: Billed at KSh 100 per student, per academic term.
  • SMS Wallet: Pay-as-you-go credit. Credits are non-refundable and do not expire while the account is active.

Failure to settle platform invoices within 14 days of the term start may result in temporary account suspension.

5. Data Ownership

The School retains 100% ownership of all institutional data, including student profiles and exam results. GradeHub maintains ownership of the platform’s source code, UI designs, and underlying logic. Upon termination of service, schools have the right to export their data in standardized formats (CSV/XLSX).

6. Limitation of Liability

GradeHub is provided “as-is.” While we strive for 99.9% uptime, we shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses resulting from service interruptions or academic data entry errors made by school staff.

7. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from the use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Nairobi.
